Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Raheli's story

Raheli is married with seven children, two of whom attend school. She owns a house that doesn't have electricity or piped water.

She operates an open air food business, selling from her home to neighbors and passersby. She faces the major challenge of seasonality in her business. Her dream is to establish a restaurant business in the near future.

With this loan, Raheli will purchase wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, and rice. She decided to join Yehu to access loans in order to boost her business.
