Victoria's story

Victoria is a 56-year-old woman. She lives in the city of Ica with her two children, who she loves and who are her principal reason for living. Unfortunately, for various reasons, Victoria is a single mother. She separated from the person that was her husband several years ago, and since then she has dedicated all her effort to getting her family ahead.

Victoria is a very friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic person. She could not study a professional degree in nursing because she has had to work since she was very young. In her free time she likes to make delicious desserts to share with her family. Victoria works in a small store selling pies, cakes and other things, on her own initiative and with much dedication and determination.

She works every day in her home preparing these delights and she can do so for approximately 12 hours. She feels happy doing her work and believes that it is going well for her due to her good flavors and the friendly treatment she offers her clients.

Victoria is very thankful to the Kiva lenders since, thanks to the help they offer her, she will be able to purchase construction materials such as cement, sand, bricks, and more, which will help her a lot to strengthen and improve her home. This way, Victoria and her family will be able to count on better security and well-being. Thus she will continue working and striving to achieve her great dream of having a large restaurant.
