Gororoka Group's story

Julienne is a member of the Gororoka Group and lives in Muramvya. She is 36 years old and is married to Joseph, a teacher. Together they have five children between the ages of seven and twenty years old.

Julienne has been a merchant selling foodstuffs (bananas, sweet potatoes, potatoes) for the past eight years and is on her thirteenth loan cycle with Turame. The loan she receives from KIVA will allow her to increase her capital and buy a large quantity of potatoes that she will resell to earn more income.

In the coming years, Julienne would like to purchase fields so that she can grow pineapples to sell.
