Yanice's story

Yanice is 46 years old and lives in a metropolitan area of the city of Malambo. She has three children aged 15, 19 and 23. Yanice's goal is to increase her working capital to stock her business from season to season, and to earn more money, rotating all of her inventory. This is why she went to ask for a CrediKiva loan, financing from the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With this loan she will buy school supplies, primarily, as they are the items that are sold at her market most often.

She gained important experience in sales many years ago, when she sold her business and decided to switch to selling miscellaneous products that are more coherent with her personal profile and what she loves. She offers many items that her clients need, like clothing, bags, school supplies and home goods.

Her sales plan is in cash and she likewise buys in a permanent manner. She has managed to apply for 11 loans with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, which have allowed her to make her business grow and increase her market's infrastructure. Down the road she dreams about adapting her place comfortably and she is preparing for this little by little.
