Dusangire Ii Group

A loan of $2,200 helped a member to purchase a large number of cabbages that she will sell to earn more income.

Dusangire Ii Group's story

Jacqueline is a member of the Dusangire II Group and lives in Kayanza. She is 25 years old and is married to Jean, a merchant. Together they have four children between the ages of two and ten, two of whom attend school.

Jacqueline has been a cabbage merchant for the past eleven years and is on her twelfth loan cycle with Turame. The loan she receives from KIVA will allow Jacqueline to increase her capital and purchase a large number of cabbages that she will sell to earn more income.

In the future, Jacqueline would like to be able to run her business without resorting to credit, and to see her children get a good education.
