A loan of $775 helped a member to buy fertilizers and rice seed for her farmland.

Ter's Group's story

Ter is 26 years old and lives with her husband and one daughter in a rural village of the Moung Russey district in Cambodia. To feed the family, Ter and her husband earn a living as farmers by farming rice on 1.5 hectare of farmland. Besides this, her husband also supplements the income by catching fish. Having been in this business for 10 years, Ter and her husband earn about 12,000 KHR per day to spend on the family’s needs. Ter has been with VisionFund for one cycle and completely paid back the past loan while the other members have been with VisionFund for three cycles. As the leader, she is leading her group to apply for another loan with VisionFund. Ter is going to use her portion to buy fertilizers and rice seed for her farmland and she hopes to increase her crop yields so as to generate more income to improve her standard of living.
