Pov's Group's story

Pov is 45 years old and married. She has three schoolchildren residing in Kror Kor district of Pursat Province. She is a local school teacher as her regular source of income. To earn additional income, she grows rice and raises pigs. She has been involved in the current business for 26 years and is able to earn up to 46,000 KHR per day. Pov is a five time borrower with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She has already repaid her past loan which has enabled her to sustain her living and keep her children in school. Now, she wants to expand her pig-raising business in a good manner. She is in a group of four to apply for a new loan. As the group leader, she will use her loan portion to buy more pigs to raise. She expects to raise her pigs in a healthy condition so that she can make more profit for her kids' sake.
