In Villanueva municipality, located in the city of Chinandega lives Santiago Álvarez. He works very hard to better his living conditions.

Santiago and his family have endured a lack of electricity in their home for a long time because they live in a very remote area. For this reason, Santiago bought a solar panel that allows them to have power in their home. Now Santiago has come to Ceprodel requesting a loan to pay for the solar panel and in this manner continue to make improvements in his home and support his family.

En el municipio de Villanueva de la ciudad de Chinandega el señor Santiago Álvarez se dedica a trabajar arduamente con el propósito de mejorar las condiciones necesarias de su hogar.

Por mucho tiempo él en conjunto con su familia ha atravesado la problemática de no tener energía eléctrica por habitar en una zona muy alejada. Por esta razón es que adquirió un panel solar para obtener la energía eléctrica y de esta manera iluminarse. Hoy en día acude a Ceprodel para obtener el crédito necesario para el pago del panel solar y así continuar con el mantenimiento de su vivienda y su familia que tanto necesita de su apoyo.

Founded in 1991 and based in Managua, Nicaragua, CEPRODEL specializes in the development and funding of housing cooperatives for traditionally marginalized communities, the provision of microfinance services to small businesses, and the promotion of innovative renewable energy projects.
