A loan helped a member to purchase spares parts for his motorbike and small items for his cameras.

Makoka Group's story

Andrew is in his late 30s and married. He runs two different types of businesses. He has been a photographer for 10 years and has had a motorbike for three years. He works from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily and is able to earn a monthly profit.

Andrew is requesting his seventh loan from Tujijenge Tanzania, which he will use to buy spare parts to service his motorbike and small items for his cameras. He used the profits to buy a plot of land, build a house, and cover household expenses. His dream is to have a big studio.

Andrew will share this loan with his loan group Makoka with nine members who hold each other accountable for repaying the loan.

In this group: Andrew, Mwanahawa, Komba, Abdalla, Zawadi, Ramadhani, Obedi, Husna, Pili, Khalifa
