A loan of $150 helped to purchase charcoal for her business.

Bendu's story

Bendu lives in West Point, one of the most populated and well-known market areas in Montserrado county. Bendu is 27 years old. She stopped her education at second grade. She is married with three children, aged between 6 and 12, who live at home and attend school.

For two years, she has been selling charcoal in her community. One of the problems she faces is low income. She enjoys the interaction with her customers and the profit she makes enables her to buy food for her home and makes her proud of her business.

Bendu is requesting a loan to purchase charcoal for her business. In the near future, she wants to build a house for her children.
