A loan of $175 helped to pay for her studies.

Raysa Evelis's story

The warm town of Ica is characterised by its varied agriculture, such as cotton, grapes, asparagus etc. There lives Raysa, a 20 year old who fights each day to get ahead and make her parents proud. Each day she works in a restaurant in her city and with the fruit of this humble work, her hard effort pays for her nursing studies. For this reason, she gets up joyfully and enthusiastically each morning because she knows that her hard work is not in vain and that once she finishes her degree she will be able to support her family even more. Raysa is very thankful to the Kiva loaners as thanks to their help, she will be able to buy the materials for her studies such as a pressure gauge, syringes, surgical pans among others. It will also mean that she will be able to pay her monthly university fees. She will keep working hard with the assurance that she can buy the necessary tools and pay for her studies. She hopes to achieve her dream of finishing her degree and making her family proud.
