Shabana's story

Ms. Shabana is 33 years old and works from home as a tailor. She has been in this line of work for four years now and is proud to be contributing to her household income. When Shabana was not earning, her family was going through a severe financial crisis that compelled her to use her stitching skills in a productive manner. Her husband is also a tailor, but due to limited resources neither of their two children was sent to school.

Shabana felt it obligatory to change her family’s living standards and started working from home. She has established a good clientele but because of low cash in hand, she requested a loan of Rs. 30,000. She intends to use this loan amount to purchase a new stitching machine with spools of thread and zippers in various colors. In this way she would be able to cater her customers time after time which ultimately helps in generating more cash.
