Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Firuza's story

Firuza is 54, married, and has one daughter who attends high school. She lives with her family in Dangara. Firuza runs a retail business together with her husband. They have a large store at the city market where they sell dried fruit and candy. Firuza really loves her business; it's her entire life. She and her husband have been doing this kind of work for more than 20 years and cannot imagine their lives doing anything else. Firuza is seeking a loan to purchase dried fruit and candy in order to increase sales.
