A loan of $1,550 helped to buy a sales stall.

Jhonatan Octavio's story

Jhonatan is 19, single, and lives in the city of Pisco with his parents and siblings. He is a very kind, hard-working, enthusiastic person who is determined to get ahead. Through his own efforts and with the support of his parents, Jhonatan was able to study to be an electric technician. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer; and sometimes he cooks a delicious chicken and rice to share with family. On his own initiative, and with much effort and dedication, Jhonatan works as a motortaxi driver in the city. He works an average 12 hours a day and believes business is going well because he is responsible and kind toward others. Jhonatan is very grateful to Kiva lenders because, thanks to their help, he will be able to buy a small sales stall in the central market of the city. There he plans to offer repair services for electric applicances. This will allow him to continue working toward his goal of having his own company.
