A loan of $1,500 helped to repair and maintain her family's car.

Gabriela Jimena's story

Gabriela is 28 years old, and she and her husband, Boris, got married several years ago when they were 21 years old. They presently rent the home where they live in the northern zone of Temporal Alto Cercado in the city of Cochabamba. Seven years ago, Gabriela started working at an insurance firm called Boliviana Ciacruz. For the first 6 years, she did contract work for the firm, and she has recently renewed her contract with them.

Gabriela's husband, Boris, was unable to find work during their first two years of marriage. After some time, he decided to apply for a loan to purchase a car and start his own chauffeur and transportation business. He has been working in the transportation industry ever since. With the support from this loan, Gabriela and Boris plan to do some maintenance and repair work on their car. This investment will allow them to keep Boris' job and income steady, as well as facilitate transportation for their family.
