Despite being orphaned at a young age, losing six of his seven siblings, and only having had seven years of schooling, Aaron has risen above his circumstances to become a well-respected and compassionate member of his community. Aaron has a family of five, a growing business, and supports ten orphans, providing them shelter in his native Uganda and helping them to attend school. Aaron hopes to better support his loved ones by buying and selling more improved firewood cookstoves which use 50% less firewood. These stoves save his customers money in reduced firewood needs or save them time in collecting firewood. They also reduce emissions of toxic gases which improve health outcomes in his community. With the help of a Kiva Loan, Aaron will be able to consolidate his business's product offerings while simultaneously generating needed income to send his children and dependents to school.
