A loan of $225 helped to buy more chicken and pig feet and beef to sell to her customers.

Zoe's story

Zoe is 26 years old and had to stop her education at the 6th grade. She is married and the mother of three children between the ages of 9 months and 11 years, two of whom attend school. Her husband earns a living as a driver, and they live in Buchanan Ground, Bassa County, which is a good place to catch fish for sale in the local market. She describes herself as a strong woman who has made herself into a businesswoman and now earns a living by selling chicken feet, pig feet, and beef in the local market. She learned this trade from her friends, and is applying for a loan for 16,000 LRD to buy more items to sell to her customers. She would like to expand her business because this will allow her to do a better job of providing for her family, and allow her to move into a new home in the future.
