Juana

Bolivia
Cochabamba, Bolivia / Wholesale

A loan of $1,450 helped to finance growing potatoes.

Juana's story

Juana is 39 years old, married to Juan, and they have 2 dependent young children. At present, only 1 child is in school. They live in Sacaba, in the Nueva Canaan region.

Juana's economic activity takes place in the community of San Isidro, 36 kilometers from the city of Cochabamba. Juana sells potatoes at wholesale in the weekly fairs at Colomi and Sacaba.

Juana is a humble hard-working person who needs this money to increase the capital she invests in growing and selling potatoes. She is very happy to have qualified for a loan, enabling her to increase sales at a time when there is much demand. The money Juana saves will be spent on healing her husband who suffered a work accident.

In spite of this situation, she plans to continue working to support her husband and children until the latter finish their higher education.
