Prosperidad 5 Group's story

Nury is one of the members of Prosperidad (Prosperity) group 5. Her group is located in the areas surrounding Santiago and comprises of five entrepreneurs from one of the poorest communities of this large city, dedicated to running small businesses from their houses and by making walking sales.

Nury is a single mother with two children. She is excited to be taking her eighth loan with Kiva's partner, Esperanza. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business where she sells motor oil. She runs this business in front of her house, in one of the main roads in her community. She also sells fuel bottles. She will use her profits to save and reinvest in her business.

Nury says that her most difficult challenge is to provide for her children. As she is a single mother, she needs to work hard for all their needs. She enjoys watching television and staying with her children. She dreams of having her own house in the near future so that she can stop paying rent. She thanks you all for your support.
