A loan of $1,225 helped to buy construction materials such as sand, cement, roof beams, blocks, nails, and iron.

Pedro Francisco's story

Pedro Francisco, 44, is married with one son who is studying in a university. He is originally from Leon, a place located in the western region of the country. Pedro is a person who is economically disadvantaged and who has a basic salary as a mailman for one of the local institutions.

Regrettably, due to a lack of economic resources, he was unable to study a university degree but he would have liked to have been a mathematician.

The objective of the loan is to build a little house, since with much difficulty he has been able to buy some land, and he hopes to start building in order to have his own place to live. With the funding, he will buy construction material such as sand, cement, roof beams, blocks, nails, and iron.

In this way he will be able to achieve one of his most sought-after dreams of having his own place to live. Pedro Francisco appreciates the help that the Kiva investors offer to people with limited resources and and from poor countries like Nicaragua.
