Bertha Edilia's story

Bertha, 54, is a woman who is characterized by her entrepreneurial spirit and her desire to provide for her family. After suffering from the abandonment of her husband, she saw the need to work in order to sustain her two children.

Due to her lack of education, her access to the working world was very limited, which led her to work for herself. Now she makes a living selling baseball caps and accessories in the center of the city of Medellín, Colombia. Thanks to this business activity, she has managed to improve her family's quality of life.

She has applied for a loan which she will use to buy merchandise, with the goal of expanding the range of products she offers and increasing her sales.

Her biggest dream is to be able to offer her children the opportunity to go to college, in order to become professionals who will have greater job opportunities.
