Clorinda's story

Clorinda, 47 years old, is married to Alfonso, with whom she has 3 children who are 14, 9 and 5 years old. They all live in a house of rustic materials which they built with some effort, on an agricultural enclosure. Clorinda is a loving mother and a responsible wife. She has worked in agriculture since the age of 22. This is why she is confident of her ability in agriculture work.

Her main crops consist of peas, beans, barley, corn and gladiolus flowers. "In my area there is good soil, so everything grows," she says. With the support of her partner, she can manage all the work the field needs, but often this is not enough. This is why she hires more staff. She sells almost all of her produce in the wholesale market in Tarma. "The peas, beans and corn sell there almost instantly, but the gladiolus flowers are taken to another fair," she adds. Now she hopes to go back to sowing peas and beans, taking advantage of the rains that start to fall this month, and for this she needs your financial support. Clorinda will invest the money in buying organic fertilizer to feed her crops, and she is committed to making her repayments on time.
