A loan of $425 helped to purchase fertilizers and manure, and to pay for labor to clean his yucca, corn and bean crops.

Samuel's story

Samuel is 64 years old, married and has 11 children. He lives in a small town in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Yojoa. He has always made a living in agriculture, growing basic grains like corn and beans. Twelve years ago he started growing another crop, yucca. He sells his goods at the local market. He decided to request his fifth loan cycle, which he plans to use to purchase fertilizers and manure for his yucca crops and to pay for labor to care for them. His goal is to expand his production and take in a better harvest so he can help his children's education.
