Good morning. “Ahorrar Es Exito” is made up of 6 enthusiastic and hard working members who are in their 2nd loan cycle. Fortunita is 44 years old. She is married and has 4 children. She sells clothing for a living and takes orders from her customers since right now she doesn't have a stand from which to sell her clothing. This activity has allowed her to generate an income to help with the household expenses. She will use the loan to buy pants and sweaters for the winter season. Her dream is to have a seamstress shop because she knows how to sew.
The group “Ahorrar Es Exito" is grateful for the assistance offered. Fortunita is the first from the left and is wearing the brown shirt and blue pants.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
