Santos Leopoldo's story

Santos, 61, is married, has 2 children and lives in the municipality of Esparta, San Juan Pueblo. Santos has many years of experience working in agriculture. For 20 years he's been cultivating African palm from which he extracts oil, he also has a citrus fruit plantation of rambutan (closely related to the lychee), he also cultivates pineapple, corn, cane, coconuts and yucca. What he produces is distributed to intermediaries and the pay is feasible. All of his efforts and dedication are so he can generate the income he needs to cover the household expenses. He's requesting a loan of 10,000 lempiras to buy fertilizer for his African palm and rambutan tree, so he can provide technical assistance to his crop by controlling the plagues. His goals are to continue working and generating a higher income to ensure the well-being of his family.
