A loan of $1,000 helped to buy tires and inner tubes.

Moussa's story

Mister Moussa was born around 1956 and lives with his two wives and his children in Niena, one of the communes of the third administrative region of the republic of Mali.

He has been managing businesses buying and selling used tires and inner tubes for more than 20 years. His experience in this domain has brought him a good reputation and he gets orders from a variety of customers. Thus to have the resources necessary to satisfy his customers, he decided to collaborate with the Micro-Finance Institution Soro Yiriwaso 4 years ago. All previous loans have been correctly repaid.

This loan will allow him to buy 100 tires and several inner tubes. He gets his supplies at the market of Sikasso as well as in Bamako. His sales are made in Niena for example at the busy weekly fairs. His clientele consists primarily of men.

With his loan, Mister Moussa envisions making an average monthly profit of 75,000 FCFA per month. This profit will allow him to meet the financial obligations of his loan and to invest the rest in his business.
