Yaya's story

Yaya cooks and sells porridge as a food vendor in Hohoe. Yaya has never received any formal education. She is married and has seven children. Her husband is a farmer. Yaya has been selling porridge and "koose," a local doughnut prepared with beans, for four years. She supports her husband to cater for the home and helps out with buying books for the children's schooling. Her loan will be used to buy bags of millet, beans, sugar, and a gallon of oil. She hopes to use the new profits from her business to expand her business and make more profit.
