A loan of $2,275 helped a member to pay for medicine to stock his pharmacy.


Kiminu 2 (2) Group's story

Kalixe, age 38, is married and has three children, ages 7 to 15. All of his children are attending school. He is representing the Kiminu 2 (2) group. Kalixe has two different small businesses, which he has had for two years. He makes and sells foufou (a traditional African food) and peanut butter. He also has a small pharmacy where he sells various medicines. He will use this loan to buy medicine to stock his pharmacy. His business strategy is to provide friendly customer service and treat his customers well. This is Kalixe's first loan from HOPE Congo, Kiva's partner. HOPE and Kalixe’s group are confident in his ability to pay back the loan. He hopes his children will continue with their education and progress in life.
