A loan of $575 helped a member to buy more piglets to raise.

Chan's Group's story

Chan is aged 26 years and married with two children. Her family lives in a rural area in the Thmor Koul district of Battambang province, Cambodia. To support the family, she has been raising pigs while her husband is a taxi driver to earn additional income. Having been in this business for ten years, Chan and her husband can earn about 90,000 KHR per day, and they can manage to save about 30,000 KHR each day after daily expenses.

Chan has been with VisionFund for six cycles while the other member is just with VisionFund in this cycle. Now Chan is leading her group to request a loan. As the leader, she will use her portion to buy more piglets to raise. She hopes to fatten her pigs so as to sell them for a good price to improve her living conditions.
