A loan of $1,550 helped to buy a printer and photocopier.

Natalia's story

Natalia is 54 years old and is a cheerful, happy lady. She lives with her husband Bernardino, with whom she has two grown-up, independent children. They now live on their own in the home they bought 30 years ago. Natalia makes a living making copies, prints, and telephone calls to different places nationally and internationally. She has been in this business for 12 years, and says happily, “I was the first to offer this innovative service, and I'm the only one in the town who does, I don't have any competition”. In addition, she enjoys the support of her husband, who is always getting to grips with the latest technological tools. For this reason, she now wants to buy a printer to provide printing services with the computer and other jobs she requires.

She is certain she can increase her profits as many already customers ask for documents to be printed, and her business is located in the town square, in the commercial district.

This is her first loan with Kiva, she promises to make her loan repayments on time and is grateful for the financial help that is helping her to boost her profits. Natalia will invest the 4000 soles in buying another photocopier and printer in order to increase her earnings.
