A loan of $525 helped to improve the structure of her business.

Yvelina's story

Yvelina is the owner of a beauty salon that she has operated for two years in a place near her house. In addition to washing and drying hair, Yvelina sells clothing and silver accessories to her customers in the beauty salon.

Yvelina's requesting a loan for 20,000 pesos [DOP] to be able to improve her shop and add other equipment for better service.

The small beauty salons in the area charge 80 pesos for a wash and dry using salon products. There's a lot of demand for this service because women usually go to the salon once a week, so there are a lot of sales and competition. This is why she wants to have more space and comfort, as well as add services.

Yvelina, 29, lives with her partner and her three children, ages 14, 10, and 7 months. She would like to have her own house in the future and secure her family's well-being. She's confident that this loan is a big step towards achieving her goal.
