Nowah's story

Nowah lives at Sinkor (a section of Monrovia) in the capital city of Liberia, in Montserrado County. It is well known as the commercial city of Liberia. Nowah is 40 years old and married, with four children between the ages of 20 and 26. For the past ten years now, Nowah has been running a market table where she sells rice, pepper, bitter ball (an eggplant-like vegetable), Vita (juice drink), and other items. She started this business with the help of her father and learned this way of selling from him. She likes her business because it gives her more profits and makes her popular.
