A loan of $3,375 helped a member to rebuild her capital by buying "pagnes" that she can resell to continue making a living.

Oui Group's story

Delphine belongs to the Oui group and is one of the victims of the fire in Bujumbura's central market. She is a customer of Turame and lives in Bujumbura. She is married to Gabriel. She has six pupils in her care, who are orphans.

She sold "pagnes" (brightly coloured pieces of fabric) at Bujumbura's central market and has lost $450 worth of goods in the fire.

With the loan that she is getting from KIVA she will be able to rebuild her capital by buying more "pagnes" which she will resell to continue making her living.
