Mukhtiar Group's story

Mukhtiar, pictured raising her hand, is a 35-year-old hardworking woman living with her husband and five children in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Her husband is deceased, and its very difficult for her to manage the household expenses. She is running a small general store, and she needs additional capital for the growth of her business.

As a member of seven-person group, Mukhtiar has requested a loan from Kiva partner BRAC Pakistan. She wants to buy a variety of goods and grocery items like rice, sugar, cereals, and milk and introduce some new products in her general store. She wants to spend the profit on the education of her children, and she is looking forward to a better future for them. She is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan for their support.
