A loan of $3,050 helped a member to buy wood charcoal.

Tet Trankil De Saillants Group's story

Marc lives in the town of Trou-du-Nord in Haiti where electricity is scarce and water very limited. Marc has been managing his business for the last eight years. He would like to use this loan to invest in the purchase of charcoal.

Marc hopes that this loan will help him expand his business. He is unmarried and has five children. He is the coordinator of his group Tet Trankil of Saillant. The other members of Marc’s group need loans for such retail activity as the sale of charcoal, rice and fish. Marc says that his biggest challenge is the lack of steady customers.

He says his main goal is the growth of his business. His dream is to buy a motorcycle to transport supplies.

In this group: Marc, Emilia, Jacob, Elienne, Niala, Christiane, Cleanta, Franciette, Dorlus, Paulene*, Wilmain, Rosemane, Dieulinx*, Jocelyne, Cherie
