Ramiro De Jesús

A loan of $550 helped to stock up on fruit and do some repairs on his work car.

Ramiro De Jesús's story

Ramiro is 65 years old. Life has taught him that the most important thing isn't accumulating wealth but enjoying the love and company of his family. He worked his whole life in the Colombian armed forces and at times was in danger of losing his life. From this he learned the value of his family. After retiring from the navy, he decided to sell clothing in different towns in the department of Antioquia, Colombia, but subversive groups prohibited this activity because they considered him to be a spy. He then decided to sell fruit at a bus stop in his town. He does this activity now and it generates the resources he needs to support his family. Today he is asking for a loan to stock up on fruit and do some repairs on his work car. His biggest wish is to improve his family's quality of life and offer them a better future.
