Joy Ii Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT) is pleased to present the members of the “Joy II” group from Makeni. They are small-scale businesspeople who are based in Koidu, a city in eastern Sierra Leone. They are requesting a loan of 800,000 SLL each in order to expand their respective businesses. Consequently, they will make more profit and improve their standard of living.

The leader of this group is Musa. Musa is 34 years old and was born in Kenema city. He is single with 3 children, 2 in primary school and 1 in secondary school. Musa sells ready-to-wears (clothes) and has been running this business for 7 years now. He will use his share of the loan to buy a large quantity of clothes to add to his business.
