Confianza En Dios 1, 2, 3 & 4 Group's story

Melania is one of the members of the Confianza en Dios 1, 2, 3 & 4 group, which is located in the resort city of La Romana, in one of the communities without many resources. It is surrounded by sugarcane fields, also called batey. A majority of the inhabitants are Haitian immigrants who came to the Dominican Republic to improve their quality of life.

She is a dedicated mother who has eight children who live with her and her long-term partner. She has done different jobs to help her husband with the household necessities and bring in extra income. She wants to accomplish one of her most difficult goals - to have her own home.

Melania is very excited to receive her second loan with Esperanza International. She will invest the loan in purchasing different types of clothing for women and men, cosmetics, and especially women's accessories. She has worked in selling clothing for many years and with this loan, she plans to grow her business by adding different products to bring it to another level. She can then use her profits to make changes in her life, including saving money, purchasing a house, and helping her family.
