A loan of $1,175 helped to hire laborers from the area.

Victor's story

Forty-year-old Victor has four children who live with him in their adobe home. Victor works in farming for a living, which is why he grows such produce as cacao, coffee, yucca, and corn. He has over twenty years of experience in this work and he has his own fields.

The most comforting thing about his work is that it allows him to offer his children a good education and give them the comforts they need at home. However, he also wants to get a plot for a house in the city of Lima where he plans to build a house and send his children so they can pursue a bachelors or technical degree.

In order to continue with the next coffee season according to plan, he needs to get copperwood plants and hire enough labor to finish the required maintenance in under one month. This is why he needs your help and he is very thankful for the financial support Kiva offers him to continue with his business.

With the 3,000 soles he will hire laborers from the area to finish the work in his fields in under one month, which will give him a good harvest.
