A loan of $1,450 helped to buy seeds (onions, carrots, and beans), chemical fertilizers, and agrochemicals.

Francisco's story

Francisco is 29 years old and married. He lives with his family in a very modest house that was built with great effort. From a very young age, he has been farming with his father and his siblings. This is how he learned to cultivate different products such as potatoes, onions, peanuts, beans, and other crops.

Francisco had lived at his parents’ house along with his own family, but he decided that he wanted to be independent, so he and his family moved into a house of their own. He is requesting a loan in order to buy seeds, chemical fertilizers, and agrochemicals. Francisco plans to start producing his own crops so that he can improve his quality of life. He works on small parcels of land that he shares with his entire family. Francisco has a clear idea that this loan will improve his conditions and his financial solvency. With upcoming opportunities, he plans to invest larger loans so that he can establish profitable businesses that have great economic value.
