A loan of $2,400 helped to buy new sprig-summer season, women's clothes, to resell at retail.

Frida's story

Frida has engaged in trading for more than 20 years. She lives with her husband, parents-in-law, daughter and son. Her husband is a taxi service driver, her daughter is a freshman at Yerevan State University, and her son also is a taxi driver and supports his father in his activity.

Frida has had a very hard life. She got married too early. Frida and her husband didn't have any special skills, but they started to work when they were 18 years old and hadn’t any time to study. Frida’s parents-in-law helped them greatly, in their grandchildren's upbringing.

In 1990, the couple launched their food trading business. With the profit from their activity, they were able to sustain their family. In recent years Frida has been running a clothes trading business, also. She buys large quantities of clothes from Yerevan at wholesale centers, and she resells them in Sevan city at retail.

Frida needs 1,000,000 Armenian Dram to buy new spring-summer season, women's clothes for reselling. She will use the anticipated profit from this activity to pay her daughter's semester tuition and fees at university.
