J.d'amour's story

J.d'amour is a 35-year-old man from Ngororero District in the Western Province of Rwanda. He started selling lights in September 2012 and has sold 20 lights to date, providing clean energy to 100 people. J.d'amour is also a farmer.

J.d'amour is requesting a 50 USD loan to purchase 10 rechargeable LED lights that he will resell to people in his village who are without electricity. Every week or so, these customers will return to him to have their lights recharged for just 20 cents. J.d'amour will use the profit from his loan to expand his other business to earn more money for himself, his wife, and their children.
