Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Kahaso's Group's story

Kahaso is a 26-year-old dryland farmer and mother of three children. Her husband is also a farmer, but there is not enough food during the time of farm preparation to provide energy for their work and they do not have the capital to purchase quality inputs such as seeds.

Kahaso decided to join the KOMAZA microforestry program after seeing the trees growing well and she was also convinced by KOMAZA farmers.

She intends to use the profits from her tree farm to educate her children and buy quality seeds for her farming.

In this group: Kahaso, Chengo, Francisco, Zawadi, Joseph
