Kahindi is a forty-four-year-old single father of six children. He earns money through various businesses, including masonry work, farming, community work as a group mobilizer and traditional musician.

Drought makes dryland farming difficult and group dynamics pose a challenge to group cohesion for his community work.

He is investing in the KOMAZA micro-forestry program as savings for his children's future. He will use the profits from his tree farm to educate his children, two of whom are already in school.
