A loan of $1,375 helped to buy beauty products in bulk.

Heydi's story

Heidy is 36 years old and lives in the town of Soledad, where she has a store selling beauty products and professional tools and equipment. The main products are hair dye, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, and equipment and machines that are used in beauty salons and beauty schools and centers teaching techniques to improve people's personal and professional image. Her biggest goal is to grow harmoniously and gain recognition for the quality of the products she offers in her store. Her biggest challenge is to attract customers who buy in large volumes and secure enough working capital to meet the potential and growing demand. Today, Heidy is requesting a loan from Kiva, her second loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which she can buy beauty products in bulk to get discounts and build up an inventory for her customers. She has managed this little by little with her previous loan. She wants to increase her sales to make higher profits which benefit her and her family's wellbeing.
