A loan of $775 helped to purchase fertilizers for cultivating his coffee plants.

Olman Josue's story

Olman is 27 years old, and is married with two children. He lives in the municipality of Taulabe, in the zone of Comayagua, a region which is known for its farming and agriculture. Olman makes a living as a coffee farmer, and he sells his produce in the local market. His farming operation is his family's only source of income, and Olman is grateful that the price of coffee remains fairly consistent and can help him to support his family.

With the support from this loan, Olman plans to purchase fertilizers for use in cultivating and tending his coffee plants. He hopes that this investment will help him to keep his plants free from pests and diseases and will lead to full, healthy harvests of coffee beans that will fetch a good price in the markets. Olman plans to continue with his farming operation and with micro loans as a complement to his own efforts.
