Mirian's story

Doña Mirian is 44 years old, married, and the mother of two children. She is originally from the Department of Beni and completed primary school. Mirian is a very enterprising woman. She and her family moved to the town of Chimore 12 years ago. At first, Doña Mirian had to deal with many obstacles when she started her business in Chimore. In order to sell lubricants, she had to rent a shop and find a room where she and her husband could live. Her husband is a mechanic and began performing small jobs at first. Afterwards, her children accompanied them and they rented a house where they could set up their own repair shop. She and her husband have taught the trade to their children, so they now help with the family business.

Doña Mirian is requesting a loan so that she can acquire more spare parts and lubricants for her repair shop. This will help her business develop so that she can generate more income and achieve a better quality of life for herself and her family.
