Sundu E.c.'s Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT) is very pleased to present this group of teachers from Makeni, a city in northern Sierra Leone. They have come to apply for a loan of 6,500,000 SSL in order to meet their own immediate financial challenges. At the end of each month, they can easily make loan repayments. It is their school’s bursar who is directly responsible for doing the deductions and making the repayments on their behalf.

Sundu is the featured leader of this team of teachers. The 50-year-old was born in northern Sierra Leone. He is married to a trader. He has eleven children, three of whom are still attending primary and secondary schools. Sundu has been a school teacher for 32 years now. He has requested a loan in order to buy building materials for the construction of a family dwelling house.
