A loan of $525 helped to purchase more frozen foods to sell.

Esi's story

Esi grew up in poverty, yet this has not stopped her from fulfilling her dream of achieving a better life for herself and her family. Currently, Esi is an entrepreneur. She sells frozen foods in Aburansa (near Cape Coast). Her business enterprise has grown substantially since she began, just 6 months ago. She uses the income from her business to help her husband raise their five children. Esi has identified that there are growing demands among consumers for her products. Nevertheless, she is unable to meet their needs due to limited inventory capacity. Therefore, she aims to use her loan to purchase more frozen foods to sell. With the new profits from her expanded business, Esi wants to buck the trend, by ensuring that all her children will be given the opportunity to further distance their family from poverty.
