Mumtaz's story

Mumtaz is a 58-year-old, vigorous lady. She has been in the work of stitching for many years. She stitches for the people of her community and uses the income to support her entire family. However, due to lack of availability of funds, she is unable to meet the daily demands of her customers.

For this reason, she requested a loan of PKR 45,000 from Kashf Foundation. She intends to use this loan to buy more spools of thread in different colors, along with packs of zippers and buttons to create a means of increasing revenues, so she may able to generate a healthier source of income. She is in her fifth loan cycle and is thankful to Kashf Foundation for its tremendous support. Her pants and coat stitching is very popular in her area.
